Plaasstal was designed to be a family restaurant during the daytime, but Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays our guests, friends and families like to “skoffel” / dance and have fun, enjoy themselves by listening music, playing pool and sing karaoke from time to time. We also like to invite people to have a barbeque, Wood fired Oven Pizza’s with our homemade bases, Steak, Ribs or our famous Plaasstal Burgers, OR Bar snack platters. You can watch a nice Rugby match at Oom Wessel se Plaasstal Pub & Grill in season.

We have a Small Takeaway business, specializing in all sorts of fast foods like Burgers, Pies, Russians, Chips, and Toasted Sandwiches. We also cater for Guesthouses like Breakfast Packs or Lunch Packs. Dinner guests usually come and enjoy at the restaurant area.

We also specialize in platters and catering for functions or family gatherings. We open from 09:00 to 17:00 currently during the Covid-19 regulations Monday – Fridays. Saturdays until 14:00, but we can still assist in any takeaway meals or preferences next door at our restaurant / pub area. The Restaurant is just next door of the takeaways. We operating daily from 09:00 till l closing time Monday to Saturdays. At the end of a month, the first Sunday of the new month we usually have a Sunday Buffet Lunch or just a Plaasstal meal of the day.

We have a Facebook Page named Oom Wessel se Plaasstal, where we advertise our specials, and where you can see all our events and fun times with pictures of our food. Venue is available for functions like birthdays or even a small wedding. We have the capacity of taking 100 to 150 people inside and outside with the braai and wood fired Pizza oven area as well as a timber deck which have a nice view of the Bosberg Mountain. We have a play area for pre-school and primary school kids with a nice jungle gum.
